- Hockey Juniors

The Trojan Hockey Club has a thriving Juniors section, with youngsters from 6 to 18 years old.

Training is on Friday evenings, and matches for Under 12s, Under 14s, Under 16s and Under 18s, and mini-festivals for Under 8s and Under 10s, are on Sundays.

AIMS OF THE JUNIORS

The main aim of the Juniors Section is to Have Fun!

Along the way, our coaches and helpers will

Provide a friendly, family atmosphere
Develop hockey expertise and skills
Develop teamwork and fitness
Promote sportsmanship and good behaviour
Encourage wider involvement in the Trojan Club

However, the philosophy of the Juniors cannot be summed up quite so succinctly - so for more details, have a chat with Andy.

JUNIOR TRAINING DAYS AND TIMES

Training Sessions (*)	Day and Time
Boys and Girls 6 to 10 years old (School Year 2 ~ 5)	Friday 5:30pm to 6:30pm
Boys 11 to 14 years old (Year 6 ~ 9) Girls 11 to 12 years old (School Year 6 ~ 7)	Friday 6:30pm to 7:45pm
Girls 13 to 14 years old (School Year 8 ~ 9)	Friday 7:45pm to 9:00pm
Boys and Girls 15 to 16 years old (School Year 10 ~ 11)	Friday 7:45pm to 9:00pm

(*) A Junior's age is calculated at September 1st of the current season

Training starts on Friday 3rd September and will run through to the end of the season in April, BUT only during State School terms (no training at half term or during term breaks) .

Please note that occasionally training sessions are cancelled due to inclement weather.

If in doubt, please check at the ground before dropping off children!
